Paper Constructs 2022 | 9 Images
Paper Constructs is an extension of activities that have come before in other series. In many cases it is the residuum used to build new, temporary structures collapsing after being photographed. It is the pandemonium of paper and animation creating singular imagery. Everything on the worktable is transitory; it flutters and falls, gets taped together, cut and torn, pasted, wrinkled, or added to other material unencumbered, then disappearing. Earlier deconstruction allows new-sprung objects to be born. Photography makes the construct seem permanent, but it is elusive and only truly exists for the few moments of its capture.
